Alan Gocha (Herbert Alan Gocha Jr.) is a distinguished attorney with expertise in diverse areas including intellectual property law, consumer product production and distribution, real estate transactions, government affairs and negotiation and structuring of assets in bankruptcy. Over the course of two decades, Alan has counseled and represented clients across a wide range of industries.
Alan is managing member of Oakland Law Group in Farmington Hills, Michigan, where he directs a team of lawyers, paralegal assistants and staff. With the firm since 1990, Alan also manages legal initiatives and is intimately involved in the day-to-day decision-making of legal strategy on behalf of the firm’s clients.
Oakland Law Group provides legal services to clients based primarily in Michigan, but his various activities on behalf of clients include helping manage business and legal affairs nationwide. Areas of focus include intellectual property, business and corporate affairs and mergers and acquisitions. He has also worked alongside, or directed the efforts of, a number of other law firms and other professional services providers nationwide when his clients’ interests required specific capabilities or in cases involving jurisdictions outside of Michigan.
He is a graduate of Michigan State University and a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Toledo College of Law, where he graduated in the top 2 percent of his class.
